ENREGIS Österreich GmbH – All-round strength for the Alpine region
Through his Tyrolean-based company WWET, Walter Winkler can point to a long and proven track record as a specialist for spring water and drinking water systems, as well as for qualified drainage technologies. For more than ten years now, he has also cultivated a strong and growing partnership with ENREGIS GmbH, one of the most reputable names in the fields of rainwater management, green infrastructure and waste water technologies.
The founding of ENREGIS Österreich GmbH has raised this cooperation to a new level. Together with co-managing director Rene Eller, a highly qualified expert in the field of stainless steel processing, and his longstanding partner ENREGIS GmbH, represented by Andreas P. Amft, Walter Winkler sent a signal to the market by registering a new and very promising company with headquarters on an industrial estate in the small town of Hall in Tirol, near Innsbruck, on 13 February 2020.
Covered floor space amounting to almost 1,000 sq.m. and outside areas of similar size are devoted to the production of technically sophisticated tanks and storage solutions for spring and drinking water systems, alongside certified rainwater management systems and the like, all in strict compliance with ÖNORM and other Austrian regional standards and regulations.
The bundling of know-how and a broad diversity of materials expertise enables the standardised or project-specific production of ideal system solutions combining plastics and stainless steel in perfect harmony.
Given the immediate access to the Austrian motorway network and good links across the Brenner Pass to South Tyrol and Northern Italy, it was a deliberate decision to favour Hall in Tirol as a location at the very heart of an Alpine region embracing Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
“Another important reason for choosing to locate in Tyrol,” says managing director Walter Winkler, “was the ample pool of excellently trained and highly motivated future employees in the area! Probably the only drop of bitterness in this story,” he continues, “was the high price of land and property!”
The expansion to Tyrol was also an important strategic decision for partner company ENREGIS GmbH, and has added a new chapter to the history of the ENREGIS Group.
After all, besides the integration of stainless steel processing into the overall product and service portfolio, all the established divisions and companies of the ENREGIS Group can now develop and/or strengthen their foothold in Austria.
In addition to the aforementioned companies, this refers equally to the business of DISPOplus GmbH with products in the fields of water-bound path surfaces, heavy-duty turf base layers, tree/plant and green roof substrates, biofiltration substrates for swimming ponds, and sports field and tennis court surfaces, as well as to the company PILOSITH GmbH, a manufacturer of natural, innovative clay building materials.
One thing which they all have in common: With immediate effect, they have direct access to the Austrian market through ENREGIS Österreich GmbH.
